Down a dirt track in Greenwell Point, you’ll find Jim Wild’s Oysters – an oyster farm and delightfully rustic shack owned by the man himself. Jim has won many accolades throughout the years including the title of fastest oyster shucker in the world! It’s a family run business, and his daughter Sally has just been crowned Australia’s fastest female oyster shucker for the third consecutive year!
Be sure to set aside some time to head here for lunch – order them freshly shucked by the dozen. It’s BYO, so take a beer or bottle of Riesling to wash them down. If you’re short on time, buy them unopened to takeaway and enjoy at home. Top Tip: we can organise to have a dozen waiting for you in the fridge upon arrival, alongside a chilled bottle of fizz.

2. Buy world-class wine in Berry.
Make a stop at Justin Lill Wines on the main street in Berry to buy some wine for your cosy nights in. This boutique store is packed with interesting wines and specialist craft beers and the team are always happy to recommend something special to enjoy back at your holiday home.
Whether you meet Justin himself, or one of his friendly team, you’re guaranteed to receive warm service and expert recommendations.They love matching wines to occasions, so don’t be shy in telling them what you’re looking for.
3. Ride off into the sunset.
What could be more romantic than an afternoon horse riding, topped off with a champagne picnic? With Bella Cavallo, you can ride through the beautiful National Park of the NSW Coast, enjoying gorgeous trail rides and indulge in a picnic to refuel.
4. Tea for two.
The Berry Tea Shop does the very best scones with jam and cream along with a wide variety of tea options. Grab a table for two and enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea – the owners Cliff and Paulina make everything by hand and you can taste the love in every bite. This place is cute and cosy, so be sure to book a spot to avoid disappointment.

5. Cliffnics

7. Wine tasting.
Whilst in the area for lunch at Bangalay, make sure to add on some cellar door visits and sample some beautiful local varietals. We love Silos Estate Cellar Door, nestled in the lush countryside near Berry, Coolangatta Estate, Two Figs Winery and Cambewarra Estate Winery, situated at the foothills of the majestic Cambewarra Mountain.

8. Sunset cruising.
Jervis Bay Sailing Charters provide intimate access to Jervis Bay’s pristine Marine Preserve and Booderee National Park. Charter their beautiful sailing catamaran for a unique, unhurried taste of Jervis Bay under the quiet of full sail. Head out during the day and combine snorkelling and dolphin spotting or set sail at sunset for a truly romantic encounter.

9. Sundowners at The Huskisson
This is where you’ll find the locals gathered on a Friday night. Overlooking the water, this relaxed vibey pub is the perfect place for a late afternoon drink. They have heaps of amazing weekly specials including happy hour from 3pm-5pm, $12 Aperol Spritz, meal deals and DJs serving up relaxed sunset tunes on a Friday night. Grab a seat on the deck, order a margarita and enjoy your front row seat for a spectacular sunset.
10. Dining at Paperbark Camp
The Gunyah treetop dining room at Paperbark Camp is a dining experience not to be missed. Dine amongst the treetops and enjoy the beautiful breeze rustling through the leaves and soak up the atmosphere. Tables are strewn with candles so the whole place glows- totally romantic. With delicious food and specially selected regional wines served by the most professional and friendly staff… there’s no doubt that dining in the Gunyah is a highlight.
Top tip: keep your eyes peeled for the native possums that often come right up to the balcony in the evening!
