When we thought about establishing Super Calla Private Properties we spent a lot of time thinking about how we could be different, what would add value & what was available for holiday rental properties on the South Coast already. Rob and I have travelled the world and we are very fortunate to live in Australia with the NSW South Coast our choice of destinations to call home. So, what inspired us to create a holiday rental property management company was the idea that we could help property investors to create unique locations that can be used all year round.

A place they could enjoy using themselves during vacant periods but also presented unique luxury accomodation choices around Jervis Bay, Vincentia and other locations around the South Coast. Minverva Cottage in Vincentia was one of the first properties that we took on and one of the first steps we took to showcasing our ability to do property styling and renovations to suit the transition from a normal beach side home to suitable rental accomodation.

For Minerva Cottage we took it on as a complete rejuvenation for the property putting in place all the little things that most holiday rentals treat as afterthoughts such as;

  • Washing machine and dryer
  • Great ventilation from the front to rear of the property to capture the sea breezes
  • Multiple living spaces to suit relaxing, entertaining or simply reading
  • Making outdoor spaces more inviting and less exposed to the elements
  • New fixtures, fittings and softer colour tones to suit the coastal location of this property.
  • New linen with neutral tones.

The old bathroom had dark tiling, small windows with little ventilation and old fixtures and fittings.

We added more light, better ventilation, softer materials like wood all matched to a brighter, lighter colour palette to make the room inviting.

We created a sheltered space at the rear of the property as well as an inviting fire pit area creating multiple outdoor spaces & removing the ‘harsh’ feel to the back yard.
